Grosby Shoes in Australia are apparently so comfortable that even a spider underfoot will feel good. It’s dark. A woman carrying a shopping bag comes through the front door and turns on the hall lights. A large spider on the wall catches her eye. Stringed music ups the suspension. Slowly she reaches for the shoe on her foot, removes it and slams it down on the spider.
“Ooh! Hi!”, comes the spider’s deep voice. The music moves into laid back mode. She tries again. Again the spider responds with pleasure. “Mmm. Feels real good. Gooood”. The voiceover: “Very soft, very comfortable shoes. Grosby.” “Yeah… nice” says the spider. Click on the image below to play the video.

See my earlier post on the Grosby Furry Slippers TV Advert, with background on Grosby as an Australian shoe company. Grosby have a movie spot on their web site promoting their competition aimed at updating the dog used in their advertising campaigns.
The Grosby Spider shoe ad won a silver at the Asia Pacific Adfest 2005 and a Bronze Lion at Cannesin 2005.
The Grosby Spider is cute and very creative. I wonder where I could get the full screen version?
Best Regards,
I love this ad, can someone tell me the name of the song?
