Burger King‘s publicity is masterminded by the creative team at Crispin Porter Bogusky. Both companies are based in Miami, Florida. I’m expecting that what we’ve seen so far is only the beginning of the NFL BK campaign. Expect great things for the SuperBowl.
The Burger King Commercial was directed by Erik Nash directed and produced by Jason Cohon for Digital Domain, with Zak Thornborough serving as production supervisor. The trick was to replace Deion Sanders with The King. The studio provided rotoscoping and Flame compositing, with Nash also acting as VFX supervisor.
The NFL Intercept was edited by Katz from Cosmo Street with assistance from Thomas Immer.
The intercept footage comes from a game Bledsoe played while with the Buffalo Bills. The online version of the ad has its scoreboard showing the Detroit Lions vs the Baltimore Ravens, tied in the third quarter, 17 17. The game will be played on October 9 in Detroit.
