The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) launched a major advertising campaign in May 2007, preparing voters for the Federal elections, to be held at the end of November. BMF created a large, fully integrated tactical campaign for the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) in the lead up to the 2007 Federal election. The five tier campaign incorporating five TVCs, radio, print, poster and online advertising was launched in May with “Glow”, a range of commercials aimed at reminding people of the importance of the individual’s right to vote. The other campaign stages included a simple demonstration of how to vote and innovative alerts that the rules for enrolment had changed. “We all have a vote and though we don’t use it every day it’s one of the most valuable things we possess. So this Federal election year make sure you’re enrolled to vote.”
