Santa Gets Lost in Jewish Symbolism

Boomerang GPS is presented as the gift to give Santa this year in a commercial featuring Father Christmas in a Jewish home. The spot, developed by Jewish copywriter, art director and now film director Kenny Herzog, represents his transition from agency Nicebigbrain to film production company O Positive. Santa recovers his sack from the fireplace only to discover that the lounge is not set up for Christmas. No Christmas tree! No decorations! No stockings! Walking through the house he discovers vital signs that he’s in the wrong place: an electric menorah, a seder plate, a kiddush cup, a Dreidel set, and a traditional Torah cover. To top it off, he’s spotted by a young Jewish boy. Yikes! How to get out of there?
